Welcome, I’m Larri, the doula behind LarenaDoula.
You're here because you already know that support matters.
You may be excited about welcoming your baby, while also feeling unsure about what you’re meant to focus on in the months leading up to birth, how to prepare, who to listen to, and how to move through a maternity system that doesn’t always allow much space for individuality.
I’m a realist when it comes to birth. I understand how the system works, where it can be supportive, and where it can feel overwhelming or disconnected. My role isn’t to promise an idealised experience or gloss over reality. It’s to help you feel informed, grounded, and supported as you navigate it in a way that feels right for you.
I offer steady, impartial support. I’m here as a calm presence, someone to talk things through with honestly, and someone who will make you feel genuinely cared for and held, whatever decisions you make and however your birth unfolds.
Many of the families I support have built lives away from their original support networks. They’ve moved for work, for opportunity, or for a different way of life, and then reach this huge transition without the familiar people around them. That’s where I come in. I offer consistent, reliable support and a reassuring presence during a time that can feel both exciting and vulnerable.

If you’re looking for a doula who is practical, compassionate, and firmly on your side, someone who feels like trusted support rather than an extra voice in the room, you may be in the right place. You’re welcome to get in touch below and we can have a conversation about whether working together feels right.

Doula Support for Birth and Beyond
Bringing a new life into the world is a profound experience, and having the right support can make all the difference.
Research shows that having a birth doula by your side can lead to:
-
A lower chance of an emergency caesarean birth
-
A higher likelihood of a spontaneous vaginal birth
-
A reduced need for pain medication
-
An average shorter labour
-
A lower risk of a low five-minute APGAR score for your baby
-
A reduced likelihood of dissatisfaction with your birth experience

Support for Life After Birth
Support doesn’t end at birth. The postnatal period is a time of adjustment and recovery, and a postnatal doula can help by:
-
Supporting a quicker and smoother recovery
-
Reducing the likelihood of feeding challenges
-
Helping you build confidence in your new role
-
Lowering the risk of postnatal mental health struggles
Whether you are preparing for birth or navigating the early days with your baby, a doula provides continuous, compassionate care - ensuring you feel informed, supported, and empowered every step of the way.
